Golden Rule Services is a private non-profit agency that provides services to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. These services include:

• Residential Assistance through Supported Home Living
• Foster/Companion Care and Supervised Living
• Nursing
• Day Habilitation
• Professional Therapies of Speech, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Dental and Dietary. 

Adaptive aids and minor home modifications are also available based on needs.

Skills Training and Related Services
(S.T.A.R.S.)

This is the Golden Rule Services' Day Program.  STARS operates from the sites in Pearland and Texas City. We provide training in independent living skills such as hygiene, safety, academic skill maintenance and socialization.  Individuals at the Day Program experience Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Fitness Training and Community Excursions.

Our Focus

The difference and uniqueness in the approach of Golden Rule Services is that instead of focusing on the deficits or 'disabilities' of an individual, we focus on the potential and abilities; instead of dwelling on past failures, we focus on future successes. Emphasis is placed on a person's capabilities rather than his/her limitations.
